Per Binance webpage:“Our current implementation is built on forks of Tendermint and Cosmos SDK. We make use of a revised edition of Tendermint consensus and leverage its p2p networking logic, and Cosmos SDK features such as its "bank" is used for basic token transactions. Part of changes have been contributed back to the project as well.Projects like Binance Chain and Binance DEX are often built as forks of Bitcoin or as smart contracts on platforms like Ethereum. With a foundation of clean, well-structured code from Cosmos SDK, we were able to build on a codebase that we saw as a better alternative. Many thanks to the Cosmos developers and its community for their work (and for being really helpful in our issues and pull requests!)”
No I don’t think Cosmos have listed. Their developers may get fees and it sets Cosmos up well for future volume on their ecosystem... but I don’t believe it’s possible to invest in Cosmos at this stage
Cosmos raised $17m during their token sale in 2017. The majority of crypto companies failed to liquidate most of their raise. Whereas Omisego has $20m in VC funding. That’s real. And existing partnerships and a high transaction volume currently. Would be hard to displace as they have a first mover advantage.
The roadmap deployment of OMG's product suite makes a lot of sense. The e wallet and SDK must be built first before the dex. I like their approach to product releases - not based on quarters but instead in phases. It shows a regard for the development team -- it's a collaborative, iterative process instead of a prescriptive, top-down approach that most companies have (and fail to execute).Last update was that the dex is in the design phase. One of the biggest challenges dexes face is usability and design that supports that. Most people who use dexes now are experienced traders. Since OMG is going after mass adoption, it is massively important that they focus on solving these challenges before they support on-chain trades.
If the token price now was 20$ , and u were buing lots of them , it would be a long long time before u'd earn profit of that . 1$ coins right now are good if u believe they will build the product and that u'll be staking those coins in the future .
